Venice print vintage sundress. Label; CC41 (Utility) Fabulous printed sundress in fine cotton. The Venice themed print is in sky blue, white, lilac, pale green, taupe and black. Featuring gond0las, bridges, monuments, churches, canals and groups of people in 18th century costume. The bodice is fitted/boned with a turnover band at the top of the bust and narrow straps. The skirt is a full circle. The style is a classic late 40's / early fifties sundress, the start of true holiday/cruise wear and often featured prints of glamorous places to visit. The label is CC41 Utility sign, brought in throughout the 2nd World War until 1952, and available to the holders of ration /clothing coupons.
