1970's Devore kaftan with wirework trim. Devore fabric of burnt out panne velvet and silver and golds straw lame in pastel hues of aquas, lilac and cream. The long, wide sleeves and front opening are edged with hand knotted braid of lilac, turquoise and gold metallic thread. There are dozens of tiny gold woven buttons with gold rouleaux hoops down the cente front. There are long slits at the side seams and the fabric is semi transparent. Bought in Paris. A lovely piece of lounge wear, or even to wear as a 'luxe' beach coverup. Think Elizabeth Taylor, holding court at her ryhiad in Marrakech.
