1940's Mustard velvet and tulle Maid Marion vintage gown

1940's Mustard velvet and tulle 'Maid Marion' vintage gown.
The bodice of this gown is soft golden coloured velvet with a really unusual neckline/collar which forms a flattering cap sleeve. There are nine velvet covered buttons down the centre front. There is a side zip fastening and a long velvet rouleaux belt that ties in a large bow. The full length gathered skirt has a top layer of stiffened mustard coloured tulle and gold coloured satin underskirt.

This piece has a Hollywood heroine feel, and would not look out of place on Maureen O'Hara in a B movie swashbuckler..............it's romantic and totally unique.
