1940's Golden yellow silk chiffon ' Aphrodite'  vintage gown.

Strapless boned bodice gown with ruched chiffon panels and side zip fastening. The main body of the gown is sunshine yellow chiffon with contrast bands of golden yellow chiffon.
A golden yellow ruched band crosses the bodice and falls from the shoulder in a flowing train The back of the bodice has an unusual ' V ' shaped detail. The full skirt is circular cut panels of silk chiffon in alternating shades of yellow, resulting in yards and yards of floaty chiffon at the hem. The underskirt is yellow satin with a further skirt of stiffened linen that when ironed and starched will create a fuller skirt silhouette and show off the abundance of chiffon.
